Hi there, I’m Case!

My love for storytelling started at YouTube University circa 2006 with my introduction to VideoCopilot (if you know, you know). Before I ever held a camera, my first love was motion design back in the Adobe CS days. That eventually led me from small-town Texas into filmmaking, directing, and working on productions across the country.

Post-production has always felt like home to me. I love taking everything captured on set and finding the story in it, but over the years I’ve found myself just as interested in what happens before the cameras roll. Developing an idea, finding the right visual approach, directing the people in front of the camera, and then getting to carry that same idea all the way through the edit is probably my favorite way to work.

For over a decade, I’ve worked on everything from short-form documentaries to national spots alongside some incredibly talented crews, agencies, and clients. As Creative Director and Director of Post at Forest & Pine, I get to split my time between directing and developing projects while still doing what got me into this business in the first place: editing, color, and obsessing over the little things in post.

When I’m not on set or in the edit suite, you’ll probably find me playing disc golf (or attempting actual golf), hiking with my wife and kids, experimenting with something on the grill, or getting overly competitive at board games (I’m one of five boys, so I blame my childhood). And if I’m not doing any of those, there’s a good chance I’m rearranging my home office. Again.

I love making things with good people, and I’m lucky to do that with the team at Forest & Pine.
